On the limo (alsoknowas the Gluck mobile) ride to the airport this morning to drop DJ Echoand his awesome gfriend for their short journey back to Los Angeles, we found out a cool little tidbit about the talented DJ. The Spice Girls commissioned Echo to create four 25-minute original mixes to be used as part of their opening set for their World Reunion Tour. DJ Echo explained that the Spice Girls don’t have an opening act on the tour and use the mixes instead. When asked how lucrative the deal was for his original mixes, Echo replied with, “A LOT, JON! AN EFFING LOT!”

And, of course, DJ Echo did amazing last night for ICONIC’s weekly MINT promotion at SIX Lounge. Patron was flowing and the place was packed for another uber-successful ICONIC night!!

We thought it might be interesting to some to learn the REAL names behind some of the top DJ PERSONAS in the industry. Just when you thought Superman had no true name, you met Clark Kent… Just when you suspected Batman was simply a bat, Bruce Wayne appeared from the cave… and just when you thought Jonnny Gluckers was a homegrown superhero, his Jon Gluck mortal side came out to play. But that’s all neither here nor there!
